The Story of Corruption Within the MA GOP Continues to Grow Regarding the DE- certification of the Ron Paul/Liberty Slate Delegates

The Mass GOP Corruption scandal, regarding the delegate selection process to the GOP convention in Tampa,  has legs and is growing.

If the State Committee is smart, they’ll make this whole matter go away by reconsidering their vote, as this has the potential to hurt Mitt Romney.

The last thing Romney wants, I’m sure. is to be questioned by the national media about his role and influence, when the State Committee voted to confirm “the just cause” argument made by the MA House GOP leader, Brad Jones, seen in the photo above, on behalf of Mitt Romney, against the liberty slate of delegate candidates.

David Trumbell, a member of the Cambridge, MA Republican City Committee from 1992 -2002 and a political warrior and thinker, with impeccable credentials as local chairman for the Republican Party in Boston and Cambridge, MA, left a comment at the Jazz Patriot following a post that received a lot of hits this week: Corruption In MA GOP Rules the Day Again

GOP shenanigans regarding seating of elected delegates is nothing new. In 2000 the Republican National Convention Credentials Committee in Philadephia passed the following resolution: “Whereas, the Republican National Convention’s Committee on Credentials has had to repeatedly answer contests to delegates from Massachusetts because of their peculiar manner of selection that seems to promote cronyism and defeat democratic elections, the Committee on Credentials urges the Massachusetts State Committee to reconsider Rule 4.7 which allows the winning Presidential Candidate’s State Committee to certify delegates and alternates pledged to it’s candidates.

Dave Kopacz, President of the Massachusetts Republican Assembly, MARA, also commented at the MARA page on Facebook, about this tendency of the MA GOP to disregard the results of delegate elections by saying:

I was a delegate in 2008 where a full one third of the duly elected delegates were arbitrarily challenged and harassed too. Due to our persistence and moral high-ground, we were ultimately seated and allowed to represent those Republican voters we were elected to represent. Now these ignorant buffoons (/bəˈfo͞on/ Noun:A ridiculous but amusing person; a clown.) are right back to their old tricks. Just like any soviet style system does, Party elitists wiped out democratically elected people and appointed delegate seats in the form of ESTABLISHMENT ENTITLEMENTS.

Feel free to contact your State Committee person and ask them to clarify what they mean by "Big Tent" and "Unity" because the Republican Party is starting  to take on the image of East Germany. http://www.massgop.com/about/state-committee/

Speaking of buffoons, State Committee member Brock Cordeiro, shown above, who unfortunately represents my district on the MA South Coast, was heard mumbling under his breath recently, that the vote taken this week by his fellow state committee members was a waste of time. My source at the meeting, got the impression that Brock knew something, the rest of us didn't.

Far be it from me, to delve into the mind of a distinguished and powerful force within the MA GOP as Brock Cordeiro, and determine why he felt the vote would be a waste of time, but I think he was trying to convey that the whole thing was in the bag from the git-go.

BTW I know Mr Cordeiro is a distinguished and powerful presence in the MA GOP because he told me so at RMG many times during the 2010 congressional primary race on the blogs, when I was fighting for a true conservative, Earl Sholley, and he was doing every thing in his power to see that this good man did not win the election for the MA 4th Congressional District seat. All that happened is what usually happens when RINOs like Cordeiro get their way in the primaries...WE LOSE IN THE GENERAL ELECTION!

I also recently came across a written comment Cordeiro’ made, which I now have in case he tries to deny he made it, as his prolific blogging regarding the Massachusetts GOP, leaves a huge paper trail which betrays narcissistic and insecure tendencies, (another characteristic of a buffoon),  in which he stated authoritatively:

“The vote at the State Committee meeting was to require the Mass GOP to seek a ruling from the RNC on the legitimacy of counting or not counting. "What you weren't told", Cordeiro, recently wrote,  was the ruling was already given in advance of the meeting”, which confirms David Trumbulls depiction of the delegate selection process within the MA GOP to tend towards, "shenanigans".

There you have it, one of the top RINOs on the GOP State Committee, Brock Cordeiro, has confirmed it. The beans have been spilled and the truth is out there in the open, as if we hadn't already figured out that Romney was never going to allow this embarrassing defeat to stand. Thanks to Cordeiro, we now know, for sure, the meeting, that was framed as a legimate and honest opportunity to reconsider the certification of the Liberty slate delegates, was  nothing but a staged event,  which I assume was designed to allow Mitt Romney to exercise  control over the delegates and avoid a floor fight at the convention..

It also confirms the complicit involvement of other State Committee members with it as well.  (Read the comment I received after my first account was published, from my friend   Iron Mike of the great Rabid Republican Blog posted below and seen in the photo on the left, that provides even more scandalizing details of the proceedings that took place at other caucuses in the state, proving the whole thing was a ridiculous charade.

I was also informed that the South Coast's version of "The Mouth From The South" ("The Brock") has publicly boasted about participating in the writing of the rules himself, probably after a couple of drinks. which would prohibit the use of provisional ballots.

Provisional Ballots, I assume, are the ballots that were passed out to anyone who wasn't on Mitt Romney's ordained slate of delegate candidates, that he ordered the Chairman of the MA GOP, "Bribin Bob Maginn",  seen in the photo below, to use at the MA Caucuses..

Yet the majority of these State Committee Members, atleast the ones that were in the bag for Romney,   showed up to the meeting, as though everything were hunky dory, according to Cordeiro, and proceeded to rip the political  hearts out of these great young people,  most of whom were being introduced to the inner workings of Republican Party politics for the first time, and hopefully not the last, but I can't blame them if it is..

Although I don't know David Trumbull, personally, my perception of his web page that oozes loyalty to the Grande Old Party, is that he is too classy and nice of a fellow, to refer to this rotten and disgusting scheme, approved by Mitt Romney, Jones, Maginn,  and smaller fish like Cordeiro, as Corruption {my word choice}, hence the term, shenanigans.

Definition of Corruption from the Random House College Dictionary: Perversion of Integrity; Corrupt or dishonest proceedings; bribery.

In conclusion, this story as noted in the Boston Herald in an article entitled “Mass GOP deals dirty” and on  the “Reality Check” segment on Fox 19 news outof Cincinnati this week, is starting to catch on with the main stream media both locally and nationally.

So I’m asking State Committee members who have vehemently and deceptively fought the certification of the duly elected delegate candidates with unmitigated BS up until now, as though the rules they wrote for delegate selection are part of the US Constitution, to reconsider their position, even though Iron Mike in his commentary below, considers it a waste of time, and I suppose he's right, depending on who your State Committee Representative is. After all they are elected officials.

The next thing you'll probably hear coming out of the mouths of some of these  buffoons on the State Committee, is that they are strict constitutionalists, in which you should reply with a probing question: You mean like Chief Justice John Roberts, who single handedly rewrote the constitution this week over the ObamaCare Tax  fraud case?.

And I pray that Mitt Romney will repeal the newly revealed ObamaCare Tax, as he has promised, as well as reinstate the Bush Tax Cuts when they expire this January. BTW, that rumbling sound you just heard, when I brought up the word tax, was the sound of Tea Parties, rising from the dead, though we, who exist at the grass roots level of Conservative politics in Massachusetts,  all know they never really died.

Governor Romney, may not get that opportunity, however, if this MA GOP corruption scandal blows up in his face at the convention. Remember in politics, perception is always reality, and this vicious and equally corrupt antii-Romney mainstream media, will be more than willing to question him about his role in influencing the State Committee to DE-certify these kids.

Time is running out and the media is starting to close in on this story. Write your State Committee members NOW by clicking on the link, and plead with them to reconsider this vote again before it’s too late, and if your State Committee person turns out to be a buffoon like mine and Iron Mike's is, let him have it with the best  verbal assault you can muster. If he is as vain and as filled with self importance, as Brock Cordeiro is, however, it won’t do you any good, but you’ll feel a lot better afterwards, I assure you..

  1. Contact my state committee critters Tom? You MUST be joking!

MassGOP ViceChair Moma Kangas [an attorney] supervised the election of delegates in the 3rd CD held in Littleton. The votes weren't even close - the RR Liberty group crushed the Old RiNOs! Crushed them AGAIN when some tried running as alternates.

My committeeMAN Brian Burke [an attorney] wasn't even there!

Mitt is a control freak - fears a genuine floor fight in Tampa will distract from his 'in control' image. Now he'll have to deal with genuine protesters OUTSIDE the arena, and the MSM will be all too happy to give them full air time.

As for guys like poor Brock - he is the typical 'big frog' in a little pond. Becomming a committeeman is the ONLY accomplishment of his life; - he will do anything to cling to it.

All these 'big frogs' expect to be given posts of importance in a Romney Administration. I'm sure some expect to be named as ambasadors and judges.

  5. Who the heck does Brock think he is? He is not GOD! If he thinks he is so important, he has a serious EGO problem. I do NOT Want people like him representing us! What the Mass GOP did was WRONG! They are no better than the Liberal Democrats in this state. Isn't it time we stop re-electing these people? So many people are totally disgusted with what the Mass GOP is doing. No wonder they can't get anyone to help them in their so called grass roots movement.
