A "True Conservative's Reaction To Mitt Romney's Imminent Nomination (Part III)

As I continue to reflect on the absolute certainty now that Romney will indeed obtain the nomination from the GOP to run against Obama this November, there is no doubt I am somewhat disheartened, but at the same time I realize there is no doubt I will be voting for him simply because this election will be all about getting rid of that evil menace, Barack Obama,  that has somehow infiltrated our government thanks to uninformed voters in 2008.

If you don’t believe me watch the Glen Beck video, as I did last night, entitled Rumors of War III, which I'll be posting soon, but I won’t get into that right now. Let’s just say that if you had any doubts about whether you thought Obama was a bad guy or not, you won’t after you watch this video. There is no doubt in my mind that he must be defeated and I’m confident he will be by a very convincing mandate, although I’m not convinced it will be by a landslide as Rush Limbaugh predicted recently on his talk radio show. On the other hand I have very rarely known Rush to be wrong about anything, and I’ve been listening to him since 1993. And thanks to my 24/7 club membership and my Ipod I never miss anything he says anymore.

The problem I have is that the enthusiasm for Romney’s candidacy is basically non existent at the moment in my heart, and I feel quite agitated towards those who rejected the great forum of conservative candidates we had running and have been supporting him this campaign season. In fact, when a well meaning Romney supporter called asking for a donation, recently,  I was so repulsed by his shpeel, I hung up on him before he got two paragraphs into his recitation of the script. Poor guy. But what am I to do? And it suddenly occurs to me that if I feel that way, I’m sure many other conservatives do as well. But don’t worry, it shouldn’t keep us from the polls, in November, even if we have to knock on doors to known conservatives, passing out clothespins to take with them to the voting booths.

At the moment I see Governor Romney as a very slick politician and major flip flopper, on the issues, as his record in Massachusetts shows. He’ll be whatever he needs to be to succeed. In Massachusetts he had to run to the left of Teddy Kennedy and govern as a progressive as he needed to in order to deal with the Democrat controlled Massachusetts legislature and a large independent electorate, until he began setting his eyes on the White House and instantly over night he became a pro-life conservative. Aids said he always had been, of course, but somehow that message never got out when he was seeking the votes of liberals. I guess he just forgot. (NOT!) Anyway, as Rush Limbaugh said, his speech in New Hampshire last night following victories in five states was a great conservative speech, one of the best speeches he has made. So keep praying for him. ________________________________________________________________________

Google Searches For "Columbian Prostitutes" Are The Latest Craze
Most of the hits at the jazzpatriot the last couple of days have been from people doing google seaches on “Columbian prostitutes” and landing on my article entitled “The US Secret Service Under Fire”, as well as the photo of the bikini clad woman that has shaken up the U.S. Secret Service.

I appreciate the unexpected surge in visitors, but I’m not harboring any illusions it is because of the quality of my articles. No I’m sure it’s due to the old marketing adage that I learned from faithfully watching Mad Men every Sunday evening the last 4 years as well as on Comcast On Demand in between their short seasons and that is “Sex Sells”. And if I could add my two cents worth to that philosophy that began taking place in the 1960’s up until now, I would add the caveat, “in an immoral culture like ours”, but I understand that would probably not boost sales figures, after all in addition to my music degree, I also have a business degree..

Mad Men

By the way, while we are discussing “Mad Men”. What is going on with that show this season? Don Draper (Jon Hamm) has suddenly become the classic family man, madly in love with his new bride, and refusing to give other women the time of day.

Don Draper? The ultimate womanizer, who abandoned his former super model wife, Betty and their loving children while keeping his true identity hidden from them? Meanwhile the rest of the male executives at Sterling, Cooper. Draper and Price have abandoned any semblance of marital fidelity in their own personal lives.

Even Pete, the weasil,  has wandered down the narrow road that leads to sexual depravity. Of course one could argue he entered the world of soap opera type dalliances when he impregnated the new girl, Peggy, during her first day on the job, unbeknownst to him until long after she had given up their child for adoption, thus prompting the season II finale with him holding the shotgun that he had purchased when he exchanged  the second “chip and dip” dish he and his new bride received for a wedding present.

I feel better now that I was able to get that out, don't you? Anyway, I suppose it goes without saying that Pete got past that, but now he seems to be indulging in the same type of recreational sex that is plaguing the United States Secret Service, and I’m quite concerned about it.

Well I have to go now and see what is going on in the real world...Later. .
