This is the first piece of blogging I’ve done in a while due to fact total readership was down from one to zero. However I’ve decided I needed a place to vent whether anyone reads it or not. After watching yesterday’s inauguration festivities I have a strong desire to vent. The mass hysteria or rather euphoria exhibited by President Obama’s followers leaves me baffled because it’s pure emotionalism devoid of any logic whatsoever. Is it a revolution? A movement? Perhaps. But if it is where is the underlying philosophy that usually accompanies a social revolution or movement. I don’t even think it’s liberalism as much as it is Obamaism or the worship of one individual above a particular set of beliefs and ideas. It’s all about him. For example the underlying set of beliefs and ideas that led to the American Revolution was based on Christianity. There is absolutely no question about that despite a tiring array of Church and State arguments emanating from our nations Courts, Academia, and other liberal conclaves two hundred plus years after the fact . It certainly wasn’t based on the worship of Washington, Adams, or Franklin. They were only the conduits of their belief system. Although I never felt that Obama focused on race during the campaign I had the feeling that in the mind’s of the million or more visitors to Washington yesterday the “movement” is all about race and the perceived culmination of Martin Luther King’s dream that according to the Rev Jessie Jackson on C-Span last night also includes King’s vision of an end to world poverty and wars which sounds like something a contestant for the Miss America pagent would say. Of course anyone who made it through the fifth grade and attended Sunday School for one day even if they havn’t managed to become saved yet by refusing to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior knows that ending both is impossible until Christ returns. We conservatives, however understand that by applying the three legs of Conservatism Ronald Regan preached incessantly i.e fiscal, social, and national security our state of affairs in all areas can be improved beyond our wildest dreams. Right now however we’re floundering in the darkness thanks to those clueless but well meaning Americans who voted for the world’s latest “messiah” and yesterday forced us to watch his “coronation”.
